Dr. Michael Clemente founded this practice decades ago, and today he works alongside his two daughters, Dr. Nicole Clemente and Dr. Marissa Clemente, creating a unique multigenerational orthodontic practice. Together, this family of orthodontists has treated thousands of patients throughout Bergen County and Rockland County, building lasting relationships with multiple generations of families.

Meet Dr. Michael Clemente, D.M.D.

Founder and Lead Orthodontist

Dr. Michael Clemente is the visionary founder of Clemente Orthodontics, bringing over five decades of orthodontic excellence to our practice. A proud graduate of Hunter College, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Zoology and Chemistry, Dr. Michael went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers).

Following graduation, Dr. Michael served his country as a Captain in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. After completing his military service, he earned his certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from Fairleigh Dickinson University and established his practice, where he has been successfully providing braces and treating patients ever since.

Dr. Michael and his wife, Dr. Joanne Clemente, raised five children—all of whom pursued careers in healthcare. Three of his daughters, including Dr. Nicole and Dr. Marissa, followed in his footsteps to become orthodontists. In his spare time, Dr. Michael enjoys travel, architecture, cinema, writing, and boating.

Meet Dr. Nicole Clemente, D.D.S.

Board-Certified Orthodontist

Dr. Nicole Clemente brings exceptional academic credentials and a passion for orthodontic care to our practice. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University with a major in Biology and a minor in Psychology, then graduated Summa Cum Laude from Howard University, College of Dentistry.

During her time at Howard University, Dr. Nicole received numerous academic honors and awards for her orthodontic research, and she held a leadership position as vice-president of her class. She completed a comprehensive three-year orthodontic residency at Montefiore Medical Center, one of the nation’s premier training programs.

Dr. Nicole and her husband, Bob Lynch, reside in Ridgewood, NJ, with their four sons: Bobby, Jack, Mikey, and James. Her deep roots in the community mean she understands the unique needs of families in Bergen County.

Meet Dr. Marissa Clemente, D.D.S.

Dr. Marissa Clemente is a leader in advanced orthodontic treatment, particularly in Invisalign® technology. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola College in Maryland with a major in Biology, then earned her Doctorate from NYU College of Dentistry.

Dr. Marissa completed a 12-month Residency Program at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx and received her orthodontic training through the American Orthodontic Society. She is Invisalign® Certified and has attended numerous Invisalign Summit Conferences in Las Vegas, Nevada, staying at the forefront of clear aligner technology.

Dr. Marissa has had the wonderful opportunity to lecture with her father about orthodontics and braces in Lima, Peru, sharing their knowledge with the international dental community. She and her husband, Steve Weiss, live in New City, NY, along with their four children: Cami, Ella, Jesse, and Evi.
