Expert Invisalign® Treatment
The #1 Invisalign Provider in New York and New Jersey
Traditional braces are no longer the only option for treating misaligned bites and straightening teeth. Invisalign offers a nearly invisible, comfortable alternative to traditional metal braces, making it an appealing choice for both adults and teens. Clear aligners are the modern alternative to wire braces due to their preciseness, predictability, ease of wear and overall shorter treatment time. Invisible orthodontics, with Invisalign as a leading option, provides a discreet and aesthetic solution for individuals seeking less noticeable orthodontic treatment. As a Diamond Plus Invisalign® Provider, our orthodontists are among the top 1% in the country at treating patients with this technology. At Clemente Orthodontics, we believe that everyone is a candidate for aligners, no matter their age or how complicated their case is.
Why choose Invisalign® treatment?
At Clemente Orthodontics, we find that this treatment option offers a number of advantages over traditional wire braces. The Invisalign system is an innovative orthodontic solution that uses advanced digital technology and patented materials to deliver precise and effective teeth straightening results. Some of these benefits include:
Who Needs Invisalign®?
At Clemente Orthodontics, we treat children, teens and adults of all ages with clear aligner technology. Patients can begin Invisalign® First treatment around the age of 7 as an alternative to or in addition to traditional Phase 1 appliances. Aligners treat a variety of issues, and some of the most common include misalignment of the bite, crooked teeth, crowding, gaps between teeth, overbite, and more. Treatable cases include a range of orthodontic problems such as overbite, underbite, crossbite, diastema, open bite, and crowded teeth. Even patients with complex orthodontic issues are candidates for this treatment option at Clemente Orthodontics.
It is important to schedule regular visits to your dentist for check-ups and monitoring progress during Invisalign treatment.
How Long Will My Invisalign® Treatment Take?
Most clear aligner treatment takes between 6 and 18 months. In some cases, treatment can be shorter than that of traditional braces. If your case is more complex, your treatment may take longer to complete than more straightforward cases. Advanced scanning technology and your orthodontist‘s ability to map tooth movement make Invisalign® treatment highly predictable and plannable.
What Are Attachments And Do I Need Them?
Attachments are small devices on aligners that help move the teeth in specific ways. Not everyone who wears trays will need attachments. At Clemente Orthodontics, the vast majority of our adult patients will never wear an attachment. Instead, our young patients are more likely to wear SmartForce attachments as part of their Phase 1 treatment.
How Does Invisalign® Work?
At your initial appointment, we’ll talk you through the treatment process, answer any questions that you have and help you decide if the clear aligner system is right for you. To get started, we’ll take a digital impression of your smile using our iTero digital intraoral scanner. Using the scan, we’ll create a picture of what your smile will look like after orthodontic treatment to help you envision your results. Unlike most orthodontists, we do not use Invisalign’s® Clincheck Simulator to predict treatment. Instead, our orthodontists use digital scans, your unique needs and dental history as well as their years of experience to program your tooth movement.
Once your treatment plan is set, your first custom set of trays will be created using advanced technology for a precise fit. At first, your teeth may feel slightly sore and uncomfortable. Discomfort can be managed with over-the-counter pain medication, and it should go away after the first day or so. As you adjust to your aligners, you may experience a slight change in your speech. This should go away quickly as you get used to wearing your Invisalign®.
Every two weeks or so, you’ll swap out your current trays with new ones. Each tray slowly and precisely moves your teeth to help you achieve your desired smile. You may experience some soreness after placing each new set of trays, but it should not be painful. The ability to advance your treatment at home eliminates the need for frequent office visits. You’ll still need to visit the office every 12 weeks to make sure that your teeth are moving according to plan. Find out more about our team here.
The cost of Invisalign® treatment can vary, but many dental insurance plans offer coverage, and flexible payment plans are available to help manage expenses. Begin your Invisalign journey today and take the first step toward a confident, beautiful smile.
Invisalign® Treatment Process
The Invisalign treatment process at Clemente Orthodontics is designed to deliver a personalized and effective approach to straightening teeth using advanced clear aligners. Your journey begins with a comprehensive consultation with an Invisalign trained doctor, who will carefully assess your teeth and determine if you are a good candidate for Invisalign treatment. If you qualify, your doctor will use state-of-the-art align technology to create a customized treatment plan tailored specifically to your smile goals.
This treatment plan maps out the precise movements your teeth will make throughout your Invisalign journey, giving you a clear understanding of what to expect. Using digital scans and the latest SmartTrack material, we create a series of customized aligners that fit correctly and comfortably. These Invisalign clear aligners are virtually invisible, offering a discreet alternative to traditional braces and allowing you to straighten your teeth without the look of unsightly braces.
You’ll wear each set of aligners for 20-22 hours a day, only removing them to eat, drink, or clean your teeth. The aligners are easily removable, making it simple to maintain your oral hygiene and enjoy your favorite foods without restrictions. Treatment times vary depending on your individual needs, but most patients achieve their new smile in 12 to 18 months. One of the unique advantages of Invisalign treatment is the ability to see a sneak peek of your results before you even begin, thanks to our advanced digital planning.
Throughout your treatment, you’ll experience predictable results and a comfortable fit, as each aligner gently guides your teeth into their ideal positions. Whether you’re an adult or a teen, Invisalign clear aligners offer a virtually invisible and highly effective way to achieve the beautiful smile you’ve always wanted—without the hassle of traditional braces.

Frequently Asked Questions About Invisalign®
At Clemente Orthodontics, we understand you may have questions about Invisalign® treatment. As the number one Invisalign® provider in New York and New Jersey, we’re proud to offer answers to your most common questions about this popular orthodontic option.
How does Invisalign® work?
Invisalign® uses a series of clear, custom-made aligners that gradually shift your teeth into their proper position. Each set of aligners is worn for about 1-2 weeks before moving to the next set in the series. The aligners apply controlled force to specific teeth at specific times according to your personalized treatment plan. As a Diamond Plus Invisalign® Provider, our doctors have extensive experience creating effective treatment plans that deliver beautiful results.
How long does Invisalign® treatment take?
Treatment time varies based on your specific needs and the complexity of your case. Most Invisalign® treatments take between 6-18 months, though some simpler cases may be completed more quickly. During your complimentary consultation, we’ll evaluate your teeth and provide a personalized estimate for your treatment timeline.
Is Invisalign® more expensive than traditional braces?
At Clemente Orthodontics, Invisalign® treatment costs are comparable to traditional braces for most cases. The final cost depends on factors like treatment complexity and duration. We offer flexible payment options to make Invisalign® affordable, and many insurance plans provide coverage for Invisalign® just as they would for conventional braces.
Can Invisalign® fix all orthodontic issues?
Invisalign® can effectively treat many orthodontic issues, including crowded teeth, gaps, overbites, underbites, and crossbites. For very complex cases, our orthodontists may recommend traditional braces or a combination approach. As the top Invisalign® provider in the region, we have successfully treated thousands of patients with Invisalign®, including many complex cases that other providers might not attempt.
How often should I wear my Invisalign® aligners?
For optimal results, you should wear your Invisalign® aligners for 20-22 hours per day, removing them only to eat, drink anything besides water, and clean your teeth. Consistent wear is essential for staying on track with your treatment timeline.
Will Invisalign® affect my speech?
Some patients may experience a slight lisp when they first begin wearing Invisalign® aligners, but this typically resolves within a few days as your tongue adjusts to the aligners. Most people find that Invisalign® has minimal impact on their speech.
How do I clean my Invisalign® aligners?
Clean your aligners daily by gently brushing them with a soft toothbrush and lukewarm water. Avoid hot water as it can warp the plastic. Invisalign® cleaning crystals or clear, unscented soap can also be used. Never use toothpaste on your aligners as it can be abrasive and create scratches that harbor bacteria.
Can teenagers use Invisalign®?
Yes! Invisalign® for teens is specifically designed with features that accommodate growing mouths. Special “eruption tabs” leave space for molars that haven’t fully grown in, and compliance indicators help parents and orthodontists monitor proper usage.
How often will I need to visit the orthodontist during Invisalign® treatment?
Most patients see us every 8-10 weeks for check-ups during Invisalign® treatment. These appointments are quick, typically lasting 15-30 minutes, making Invisalign® a convenient option for busy schedules. We also offer virtual visits for certain check-ins to save you even more time.
What happens after Invisalign® treatment is complete?
After completing your Invisalign® treatment, you’ll need to wear retainers to maintain your new smile. Initially, you’ll wear retainers full-time, gradually transitioning to nighttime wear only. Our team will provide detailed instructions for your specific retention plan.
